Hello my name is Liz and I just found out a few weeks ago that my 2 year old son has Keratosis Pilaris. Since he was a baby I have noticed small goose pimple like bumps on his thighs but did not pay too much attention to it, thought it was dry skin. As he got older I noticed it a little bit more, though visually one couldn't really see it but if you rubbed your hand over his skin it felt "bumpy". At his check up with his doctor I had mentioned it to her and she knew right away it was Keratosis Pilaris. Well we just got back from Hawaii about two weeks ago and I noticed that his Kerotosis bumps slowly have turned a pinkish color and more "pronounced" and a new patch showed up under his arm. We think it is more pronounced due to his skin drying out from coming back from Hawaii. We now lotion it several times during the day and that really seems to help. I was also interested in the person that posted about eating chicken. It wouldn't surprise me the things they have farmed raised animals eating these days, especially all the chemicals/hormones. My hubby and I noticed that we feed him a lot of chicken so even though it is not really "proven" we are going to give it a try and see. I will most diffenetly post and new changes in his skin, if any here.
