The cold season is upon me and I've decided to take a break from worrying about KP, trying to figure out what to use to get rid of it, so forth so on, etc etc, blah blah blah. I have worried about it for decades now, and I am in dire need of a break. Let the bumps come and let them do whatever the heck they want to, b/c I shall have them completely covered up!!!
There have been some things that did rid me of it completely, but 1 doesn't work anymore, and the other I don't have access to - so there you have it!
Doesn't it bother you having your skin all dry and bumpy. If I don't lotion for two days, my skin is already bumpy and scaly. Actually, even if I do use lotion, it will be scaly by the next day!
I use lotion for dryness, so in that regard, I won't have to worry about dry, itchy skin. I am not going to worry about the KP this winter season, though. I'm taking a break. On that note however, I just bought Caress berry fusion and meanwhile was using up a botttle of Bath-n-Body Works eucalyptus & spearmint Aromatherapy lotion, and the KP seems to be diminishing.
The iron is, I've noticed this right after making my decision to "not" worry about KP for now.
The problem is I don't know if it's b/c of the carress berry fusion soap, the BBW lotion, or a combination of both.
So, I have pretty much run out of the BBW lotion, so I will see if the diminished KP remains steady (or even gets better), or gets worse again (b/c I do have 4 bars of the Caress berry fusion to use up).
Good luck! I have to keep up with my KP because if I were to take a break I'd be covered in KP pretty badly.
I do have a question though about KP in the winter. Has anyone tried using a humidifier for treatment? I read this but haven't tried it:
"Other measures to prevent excessive dryness include taking tepid, brief showers and using a humidifier, especially during the winter months when low humidity dries out the skin."
I've not tried a humidifier. I will say that I have decided to stick with the Caress berry fusion moisturizing body bar (it now seems to be called "berry indulging" ?) and the Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy body lotion in Eucalyptus Spearmint. My KP is just simply "going away." My most stubborn area (ok, "why?" lol) is the back of my right arm (go figure!) & there are several bumps trying to hang on there, but even they are slowly but surely going away.
