Hi, I'm 33, pregnant for the first time and I have developed KP. It is extremely itchy though I've read usually it isn't. It's driving me crazy. I've seen two doctors and a dermatologist but they say there's not much that can be done. I take Aveeno Oatmeal baths and am now using amLactin (and any other lotion I can find) but I don't think it is helping. I may scratch my skin off before this baby arrives! Anyone else have itchy KP? Have you found any relief? Anyone develop KP while pregnant?Lori

I developed KP while pregnant and like pp I am sorry to say that it has only gotten worse since I delivered. I am bfing and it has spread from my arms to my chest and is now covering my upper arms totally. Since I was only diagnosed this week, I don't have much info for you. But I do know that buff-puffing my arms made it so much worse. I am now using the lactic acid lotion hoping for a few results. The bumps have seemed to lessen, but are still present and red/itchy.

I also developed my KP during my first pregnancy at the age of 28. Mine was pretty itchy also but not too bad. I found that it was AFTER the pregnancy that it got worse and then when I got pregnant less than a year after having my first, it really got bad. I have it on my arms really bad, my thighs and my face. The arms are the most bothersome and I pick at them quite often which makes it worse. Since I was always either pregnant or nursing for 3 years, there wasn't much I was willing to...
