Hi guys,

tanning may be a temporary fix. You will need to fake tan constantly and it doesn't treat your skin. KP is a disorder of the skin and should be treated with medicine i.e. creams, diet, pills etc. Fake tanning constantly will be annoying and sunbathing to cover up KP is not a good idea. You may get sunburn or even skin cancer if you prolong it.

Some of my elder aunts and uncles are beginning to die off, mostly from strokes and heart failure in their mid 80's. They died with tans on smooth skin. I hate people and medical groups that paint all with the same brush. Different skin types accept sun exposure differently.
I've found that tanning does help the bumps go down. I tan before things like prom and I don't want to go tanning all the time because it's not very good for your skin and it's expensive. So I'll buy a month long tanning package, and a week after I stop, the bumps come back even worse than they were before. I definitely wouldn't recommend tanning as a form of treatment.
