This is my first time on this site. I developed KP after my first child (if I had it before I was unaware as it was not noticeable) and do not have any family history of it. I had it all over my legs and arms, and went to my Dr who misdiagnosed me. I suffered with it for a year and picked at it constantly, so I had scars for a year after that. It did clear up on its own however.

After recently giving birth to my second child, I have developed KP AGAIN. This time I went immediately to a Dermatologist who gave me Clindamycin, and Lacoid Lipocream. I use each two times a day. He also recommended the Clarisonic Plus, which is a electric face/body brush. I use the body attachment in the shower once daily, and use the topicals prescribed by my Dr immediately after. It has been 4 days and I am already seeing improvement! The Clarisonic exfoliates (the trick is not to apply pressure), and helps the topicals absorb better. Also, it comes with a face brush which clears up...

Link between Lichen Planus and Keratosis Pilaris

I was just wondering if anyone has experienced keratosis pilaris associated with lichen planus. I have had lichen planus (bot horal and dermatological varieties) for about 1.5 years now and this winter have developed what looks to me like keratosis pilaris but primarily on my legs. I will only see my dermatologist in March and will ask him then but wondered in the meantime if anyone had had this problem.

Here is one that is often overlooked...

Avoid wearing to much make-up: Wearing make-up is alright but try to limit the number of days and for how long you wear it. Make up will clog up your pores, which will only add to your acne problems. A water based make up is recommended by dermatologist.

Wash pillow cases and covers: Pillow cases will absorbs oil and bacteria from your face. And every night you go without washing the pillow case is another night of build up. Try to wash your pillow case and covers at least 3 times per week.

I've tried so many different foundations and I can't seem to find one that I am in love with. Right now I'm using MAC Studio fix but I feel as though it's a bit heavy and it's drying out my skin. I've heard good things about Clinique's foundations but I haven't tried it out yet. Opinions? Recommendations for other products to use? I really appreciate it!
